In 2018, two young Jamaican farmers with a love for and background in Agriculture embarked on an ambitious journey to become Jamaicans’ preferred Jelliman. The pair decided to invest in the family-owned farm in St. Mary, and began planting coconut trees, with hopes of benefitting from the tree’s versatility.

Well-known for its adaptability and ability to produce raw materials that offer nourishment for the skin and hydration for the body, the coconut tree, a mainstay of the picturesque greenery in Jamaica, was first planted by the pair to produce coconut oil.

What initially began as a brand, focused on coconut oil, gradually evolved into perfecting a process to conveniently bottle fresh, high-quality coconut water. So, the two started growing their company, begun their search of a place where their coconuts could be freshly chopped and eventually distributed across the island. Coconuts from their farms in St Mary were transported to Kingston, where family and friends got the first taste as they worked to perfect their processes.

The Jelliman Coconut Water was founded as a result of favourable reviews and the team’s ability to produce pure, fresh coconut water free of additives or preservatives. Jelliman Coconut Water is now available in five different bottle sizes, allowing for year-round enjoyment. After years of development, Jelliman Coconut Water is now available in stores, dining establishments, and fitness centres all over the island.
